The Gambia Experience

A controlled fleet model where drivers are assigned to specific zones and
paid a fixed monthly salary. Wavy is used for more structured services – for
example, regular school runs or corporate shuttle services where having a
dedicated driver on a schedule is important. Because drivers are paid monthly (not
per ride), it ensures reliability for clients and stable income for drivers.

We envision a future where transportation in Africa is predictable, safe, and people-focused —
where every child, every caregiver, and every professional can book a ride without worry, and
where drivers are respected professionals, not just app users.

Big-Picture Perspective: Rather than focusing only on immediate tasks, strategic thinking asks, “Where are we trying to go, and how do today’s actions get us there?” For example, if our goal is to expand service to a new city, every decision (hiring, marketing, etc.) can be weighed against that long-term objective.
